What happens when a citizen stops complaining in silence and decides to put his country on trial—not in a courtroom, but through words?
Nigeria and I is a fearless, thought-provoking journey into the contradictions, struggles, possibilities, and untapped greatness of Nigeria. Written with the eyes of a political science student, the heart of a patriot, and the frustration of a citizen who has witnessed the gap between the Nigeria we have and the Nigeria we could have, this book asks difficult questions that many would rather avoid.
From leadership and democracy to corruption, poverty, unemployment, insecurity, education, youth empowerment, and the responsibility of citizens, Nigeria and I challenges both government and society to look beyond excuses and confront the realities holding the nation back. But this is not merely a catalogue of Nigeria's problems. It is a passionate call for reflection, responsibility, reform, and national renewal.
Nigeria is more than its politicians. More than its problems. More than its failures. It is a country of immense human potential, natural wealth, resilient people, and unfinished dreams. In Nigeria and I, King O.Y. does not pretend to have all the answers. Instead, he opens a conversation—a conversation between one citizen and the nation he loves.
If Nigeria could sit down and listen to one of her citizens speak without interruption, what would that citizen say?
