Isio has one ultimate goal in life: don’t end up like her brother Welsey, who abandoned a law degree to become a photographer. What proper Nigerian child does that?
Determined to be the family’s “good sheep,” Isio abandons her sketchbooks and channels all her energy into getting perfect grades. Until Naruto.
Binge-watching the anime reanimates her passion for drawing and her dream of turning it into a career. When a prestigious art competition opens up, Isio sees her chance to prove to her father, and herself, that her illustrations aren’t just a silly hobby. Between mending broken friendships, navigating a romance with a fellow Otaku, and trying to meet her father’s expectations, Isio must go beyond, plus ultra, to create the art that could give her the future she longs for.
