The Life Behind the Picture

For years, Musa has sacrificed everything to support his widowed mother and younger siblings. When his childhood friend sends photos of a prosperous life abroad, Musa sees a way to erase his family’s debts, secure his siblings’ futures, and become the provider they depend on.

But leaving could mean selling their home, abandoning the woman he loves, and breaking his promise to build a life with her not disappear in search of one. She fears his dream will take him away; Musa fears staying will condemn him to failure.

Then the smiling photos begin to reveal a darker truth. As hidden dangers threaten his friend, his family, and the future he imagined, Musa must choose what he is willing to sacrifice for a better life and whether that life was ever real at all.

Because some pictures tell a thousand lies.
