Kunle and Jasmine's chemistry was top-notch, and I loved how their relationship was built on healthy communication. It was honestly so beautiful to read.
Healthy communication is not a phrase that turns up often in romance reviews, because a lot of the genre runs on the opposite. Here, it is the thing our reader liked most, and it tells you what kind of book this is. The tension is not two people refusing to say the obvious thing for three hundred pages.
Jasmine gets the other half of the praise. She takes her work seriously, and she refuses to accept that her career and her relationship are a choice she has to make. Our reader called that balance refreshing, and it is the part of the book she singled out on its own.
It is also short and easy to get through, which suits it. A quick, enjoyable read is exactly what it sets out to be.
Short verdict: Sweet, funny, and full of chemistry. Four stars, and recommended.
