Sọna lets readers become reviewers, request advance copies of books before they launch, and share their thoughts with authors and the wider reading community. If you love reading early and writing reviews, here is how to get started.
Turn On Your Reviewer Profile
Open your Account and switch on your Reviewer Profile. Add the places where you review, such as Goodreads, StoryGraph, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, or your blog. Authors see your profile and track record when they decide who to approve, so a complete profile helps.
Find Advance Copies
Browse the eARC catalog to see titles authors have opened for review. You can search by title or author and open any listing to read the blurb and details.
Request or Add
How you get a copy depends on the title:
- Request this eARC. Most titles ask you to request access. The author reviews your request and approves or declines.
- Read Now. Some titles are open to everyone, so you can add them instantly with no approval.
- Pre-approved. If an author has added you to their auto-grant list, their new titles appear for you to add in one tap.
Read in the Sọna App
Advance copies open in the Sọna Reader app for iOS and Android, which keeps unreleased books secure for authors. Once you add an eARC, it appears in your library with an eARC tag, ready to read.
Share Your Review
When you finish, leave a rating and review on Sọna. You can also copy your review and post it on Goodreads, StoryGraph, or the retailer of your choice in a couple of taps. Your reviews help authors and fellow readers, and they build your reputation as a reviewer.
Getting Approved More Often
Authors look for reviewers who follow through. Sọna tracks your feedback ratio, the share of advance copies you actually review. Complete your profile, add real links, and review the books you claim, and you will get approved more often.
