Sọna Publish supports both reflowable books and fixed-layout publications. The upload flow changes to match the format you choose.
Before You Start
- For a reflowable book: an EPUB or DOCX file up to 10 MB.
- For a picture book, comic, graphic novel, magazine or periodical: one finished PDF up to 50 MB.
- A clear JPG, PNG or WebP cover no larger than 2 MB.
- Your blurb, publication date, genres, age rating and optional ISBN.
1. Choose The Publication Format
Choose Reflowable Book for EPUB or DOCX. Choose Picture Book, Comic & Periodical when the page layout must remain fixed, then select the specific publication type.
2. Add The Book Details
Enter the title, author credit, blurb, language, publication date, series information, genres, tags and age rating. Publisher accounts also choose an imprint and enter the credited author name.
3. Upload The File
DOCX files are converted to EPUB; use Heading 1 for chapter titles and Normal for ordinary body text. Fixed-layout publications use PDF and preserve each designed page.
4. Upload The Cover
Reflowable covers must be at least 800 × 1200 pixels and are cropped to the standard 2:3 shelf shape. Fixed-layout covers may use other proportions, but their shortest side must be at least 1200 pixels; Sọna keeps the complete cover visible inside the shelf frame. All covers must be JPG, PNG or WebP and no larger than 2 MB.
5. Set Pricing And Access
Set the retail price and any territorial restrictions. Reflowable books may be free. Fixed-layout store titles start at ₦3,000 and cannot be completely free. Choose Sọna App And Browser or Sọna App Only for full-book reading.
6. Choose A Sample
A paid reflowable book can offer an opening sample. A paid fixed-layout title can offer a chosen run of sample pages.
7. Preview
Check the actual reading experience. For a PDF, confirm that every prepared page appears in the correct order. For EPUB, check chapter structure, text and formatting.
8. Submit
Sọna runs the applicable file, metadata, cover and content checks. Fixed-layout PDF pages also require human visual review before approval. You receive the decision by email and can follow the status in My Books.
